A requester seeking a more complete adult-area list can mail CBI the Adult Registered Sex Offender Request Form. The published fee is $20. CBI does not accept this request by fax or email. This channel matters because the public website omits some people who remain subject to registration.

A court can lawfully discontinue registration in qualifying circumstances. CBI then removes the registered-offender notation from a Colorado history after processing the order. A stale public entry should be reported for review, not treated as proof that an order is invalid.
La Plata Sheriff Registry Role
Durango’s official crime information states that the La Plata County Sheriff oversees sex-offender registration throughout the county and within the City of Durango. The Sheriff’s local role includes registration and compliance work. CBI runs the statewide database and public interface. Those duties are linked but not interchangeable.
